Wild Footprints has one of the most effective community support programs in the industry. The program channels funds, supplies and support to projects and sectors which are in need of assistance. The need is identified through community based participation and is evaluated by all relevant authorities.
By using this approach, Wild Footprints places emphasis on supporting and funding development oriented projects that benefit large segments of a community, rather than a minority. The health, education and environmental sectors are given high priority in our program.
Funding for our program is acquired through company profits, surcharge on game fees and client contributions. The more we can give, the better we can conserve and protect our wildlife habitats for future generations. Only through direct benefits from our hunting operations, can the communities adjacent to us assist and cooperate in protecting our fragile resources.
There is an annual financial commitment to the various communities that we work with, to the tune of $25,000. This does indeed help a great deal, but there is much more to be done and always room for improvement in rural Tanzania.

Wild Footprints completed 2 community projects in February 2007:

Built a new village Government office at KIVUKONI village.
Built a new classroom for ITETE village Secondary School.
